![]() Copper & Silver Mokume-Gane Rings
|
Mokume-gane is Japanese for wood-grain metal and is a diffusion-welded and patterned mixed-metal laminate. The technique was developed in Japan in the 17th century. The rings shown here were a collaboration with Jacob Lefton, where he made the copper and fine silver mokume-gane billet and forged it into a strip of material, and I formed it into rings around sterling silver inner bands.
